朝から寝室横の雨戸で、（親）バサバサ（ヒナ）ピーピーとうるさい日が続いていて、親鳥を刺激しないように放置していたものの、気がつけば数日前からなんとなく気配が静か・・・
思い切って昨日の夜に覗いてみると、親鳥はどこかへ行ってしまい、戸袋の奥でヒナは全滅。そのままにしておくわけにもいかず、先ほど戸袋の中を全部掻き出してきれいにしたところ。（ただしヒナの死骸は二羽分しかなかった。四羽を見たのは錯覚？）
戸袋が西に面しているため、数日前の暑い日に内部の温度が上がって死んでしまったのかもしれない。残念ながら「南無〜」ということになってしまった。
